John Cotten Tayloe is located in Historic Washington, North Carolina.   Washington was founded in 1776 and is said to be the first town named for George Washington.  It is located on the Pamlico River east of Greenville, NC.

It is a second and third grade school
with an enrollment of 649.
Our staff  consists of 44 teachers, 17 teacher assistants,
